SpaceX had to launch after dark so I had to resort to extreme measures. F/11, ISO 100, Nikon D7200 w/18-105 mm at 18 mm. Polarizing filter used as one stop ND filter. 119 second exposure. This is from my 8th story deck 17 miles away. We are all thrilled that the four astronauts are on their way to the Space Station. What does one set the white balance for on a shot like this? The RAW file looked a little red so I clicked on "Auto" in PSE20.

Excellent shot! The download is exquisite. Is that the new moon to the left of the launch a little above the horizon?

Great shot - for this sort of thing you have to rely on your memory and adjust in pp...

Wow, if there is a place to live in that area, you are in it. Wonderful photo, from one who has tried to get space launches several times and missed. Thanks for posting!
