Do you know why I like this picture?

Because I was 75 ft. away using an inexpensive Sony 75-300mm lens.

Gee, I wonder what time of day it was?

You need to see the downloaded version. The stupid pic came out chocolate again.

This is the second of your photos I've seen where the thumbnail pic is vastly different than the "download" version, Tom. What gives? I can't think of any reason this should happen, but it sure does! I'll bet it drives you nuts.

There have been many. My computer is just fine. I asked the admin about this but I received no response. I have seen this phenomenon with a few others out here also.

Would it have anything to do with a different color space being used on the "DOWNLOAD" one, or are you using the SAME photo for both and only clicking "SAVE ORIGINAL"? Is original flattened, and saved as a JPG?

Everything is the same as it always was setting wise. I also save them into a specific folder as a jpeg as I have always done. Even then, why would some post just fine while it is always just one that messes up? I have also tried saving them with different file sizes to no avail. It is also intermittent. Thank you for your input. If you think of anything else, let me know please.

No Clue, and out of thoughts. This is definitely a puzzler.

Oh, and it does not matter if it is just a one photo posting. It does it then also(like this one). Happened the other day. I just posted a photo of a white rose about a minute ago and it turned out just fine. Go figure.

It's because you are uploading it while still in the ProPhotoRGB color space. In Photoshop go to Edit>Convert to>and convert it to sRGB. sRGB works best when viewed on the web or in email. ProPhotoRGB has the largest color space and is only good for editing your images. Whenever you are finished editing and you need to print or save for web it needs to be in the sRGB color space. (not always, but mostly)

You know, I never paid attention to that. I'll check it out. I never had to mess with that before but I do remember one time sending cs5 into never, never land and I had to reset a bunch of stuff(it had to do with printing of all things). I will have to check out my settings in cs6 I guess. Thanks for the tip!
