Walk along the Hudson River in NY

I took a walk along the Hudson River past the Lyndhurst Castle. In the nineteenth century the Hudson River Valley was the center of progress in painting and architecture. Wealthy patrons commissioned the construction of mansions in a variety of styles along the Hudson. This castle was designed in 1838 by Alexander Jackson as an example of early Gothic Revival style. Over a hundred years the house was owned by NY mayor William Paulding, merchant George Merritt and railroad tycoon Jay Gould.

The Frederic Church estate is about 120 miles north of NYC in Hudson, NY. The house and grounds are a beautiful place to visit.

Interesting. Duck pins are smaller than regular bowling pins, aren't they?
