Excellent control of DoF to carry anthers and stigma, but leave petals soft, successfully separating background from foreground.
Well done!
focus is dead on,great stack.tom
Thanks for all the comments. I enjoy the field work of you guys very much. I ordered a Nikon Sync cord, so my next adventure will be trying another off camera flash set-up, using my SB-400 with a Stroboframe Bracket.
Now to import some Robberflies.... ;)
Fabulous shot. Especially like the clarity and color.
Thanks. There are so many great macro photographers on here. I like how they push me to improve-- and try to "live up to the forum".
You do just fine yourself. Did you use Helicon Focus on the flower?

Yes, I do use Helicon. I tried several others on a trial basis-- and as I recall Zerene was not available for Macs back when I made my decision. I like the simplicity of Helicon. I'm curious if you've tried it for panoramas-- I've noticed that there is a button for it.
Thanks for the compliments. I enjoy your work here-- and in the HDR forum. I'm envious of those who can get out so often-- I'm lucky if I get out once a week.
Thanks..Have not tried Helicon in Panoramics...Only tried it out a couple of times with flowers and I did not get the results you have......Applause. I do not have focusing rails but tried changing the focus manually which did not work to well for me. What technique did you use?
I also pm'd you. Attached is a pic of the focusing rail I use
If I could spell the word "Phenomenal" that is the adjective I would use, since my spelling is really bad, I will just say its an amazing example of photographic art and believe me I have always been of the opinion that photography is a craft not an artform.
I am in awe,
Ian
