Left my Nikons at home and took some shots with my iPhone 12. That was a traumatic move for me, but I wanted to check out the new camera and see how it compares to my iPhone 7. Let me know what you think. BTW, other than cropping, very little PP.

Thanks. I was surprised at the IQ of the shots. I still find the phone awkward to hold and not accidently move the camera from photo or square or video. Practice might help.

Looks very good. I am still trying hard not to get my finger in the shot on my smart phone, but am impressed by the quality of the images. Nothing wrong with your IQ, or your IQ for leaving the Nikon at home for once. P;ease stay well and keep on sharing.

# 3 is my favorite. So, what is your verdict of using the Iphone 12 versus the Iphone 7? Likes, dislikes etc.

The 12 has better resolution than the 7. I really don’t like the “live” feature. If I wanted a video, I would take one. The 12 is a bit bulkier than the 7, which does improve its feel in the hand. So, overall, it’s is a better smartphone and a decent camera. Remember, the best camera is the one you have with you, and for most people that’s their smartphone most of the time.

I am not a fan of the LIVE feature either. You can set it so that it only comes on when you want it. Open up your Camera app and make sure the Live feature isn't on. Then go to your settings> Camera and choose,"Preserve Settings" Make sure your LIVE PHOTO is clicked On. This way you won't accidentally be taking Live Photo images by mistake. Also, did you know that you have some editing options when you take an Image using the Live feature? You can simulate motion blur. Good for blurring waterfalls etc. Best used with camera phone on a tripod.

Nice series cell phone or DSLR, who cares when they produce photos like that. Unfortunately I could never live in a town whose name I couldn't pronounce.

And who said a smartphone can not deliver quality photos. They should look at these photos. Nice work.
