Thanks for the kind comments. I love the shape and color of these flowers but for some reason they don't fare well when compared to other flowers. Blurring of background was control of DOF and I sat on the light in post. Thanks again for taking the time to comment.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. Apparently the blooming season depends on the part of the world they originated. I know the blooming cycles is triggered by the changing length of day. Apparently these cacti don't all read their instruction manuals because these also bloom in spring but nowhere like they do in fall.

Thanks Mike, I saw and liked the ones you posted earlier. I bought this plant years ago because of that pale peach color. Not seen another one since. I've got several plants now cause I accidently broke off branches moving it and rerooted and planted them.

Nice looking plant. Larger than mine but I've broken branches off of it a couple of times and replanted them so I have 4 plants now. Don't know where you keep yours but I keep mine in the bedroom for most of the year so that it's not exposed to artificial room light in the evenings which can affect when it blooms. Once it starts to bloom I move it into the living room so can enjoy it all day. Stops blooming, back to the bedroom until next year. In the summertime, I've been known to put them outside in the shade for some vacation time as well. They really grow more quickly when you do that.
