I love macro photography, it's so awesome to see the minute details in critters we wouldn't normally ever see. Good job.

Pretty good first attempt. What are your settings? Seems a little soft focused. What setup are you using ECT... Great photo for your first stab at macro. Looks like your off to a great start! Thanks for posting

Canon Eos 400D Body. Canon EFS 60mm Macro Lens. TV 1/250. AV 4.0. ISO 400. Flash Off. WB Auto. Hope this helps.

I was wondering this because of the soft focus and depth of field in your photo. I never shoot macro with a aperture of less than F-16. I stay at between F-16 to F-22. Also I would try to stay at ISO 100 if possible 200 max just because of loss in detail. You should also consider making a home made snoot or purchasing an O flash. Not trying to be critical just trying to help. Love you first macro shot. Much better then my first attempt but everyone had to start somewhere.
