The Rosenbaum House

Recently the camera club I am in took a field trip to the Frank Loyd Wright 'Rosenbaum House'. The Rosenbaum House is a single-family house designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright and built for Stanley and Mildred Rosenbaum in Florence, Alabama. A noted example of his Usonian house concept, it is the only Wright building in Alabama, and is one of only 26 pre-World War II Usonian houses. I've attached some of the photographs i took during the visit. Check out the downloads.

Thanks Jerry! It was a lot of fun to shoot it. I want to go back in the late afternoon and evening to get some outside shots.

Good set! Thanks, I'm something of an FLW enthusiast, and hadn't known about this one. Visited Taliesin East and West (recommend both for photographers) and several other buildings he designed.

Thank you. The Eusonian style house was his low end starter home and is very utilitarian. They were made to add onto when your family grew. This one has one modular addition It’s his only house in Alabama. I’d move in tomorrow if it was possible. Very cool house

Thank you very much And yes he was an awesome visionary architect. It’s fun to see his work in person.

I plan to go to Fallingwater in Pennsylvania. It will probably be a long drive but definitely worth it. I’m hoping when I go, there is some snow. It should give a nice contrast. I love the Guggenheim Museum. It always have lovely exhibits.
