This shot was taken towards the tail end of a fog about two and a half weeks ago. There is something so invigorating about fog. It doesn't happen all that often. On this particular morning I had agreed to do something for my wife first thing, and as I was driving to that location I was jumping out of my skin, because it was as dense a fog as I have seen here. Once I was freed up, I saw how the ground fog had lifted enough that I was going to have to head towards the coast, where the fog usually lingers the longest, but it wasn't the case. Eventually I headed inland where the fog thickened again and I headed for this location. I took pictures for a half hour as the fog became less and less dense.
This is a fresh unadjusted jpeg from RAW. I hope you enjoy working on it.

A really nice photo to begin with. I considered going overboard with patterns and textures; but decided this photo would look very nice with just some fall treatment. This is what I came up with.
