What to do with a Plastic Food Container Lid

After building a platform bird-feeder at an angle to shed snow and water, I realized that my bird seed would also slide off onto the ground due to the incline. So I attached a plastic lid off of a carry out food container and partially leveled it to help prevent bird seed from rolling off the platform when the Kansas wind blew. When a male Northern Cardinal (redbird) showed up, he seemed to enjoy the aqua colored ambiance. Suggestions how to improve my bird image are welcome.

Thanks for sharing this good red Cardinal. We enjoyed them in MD and miss seeing them. Opaque white lids also make good diffusers when photographing bugs, flowers and HO People in Macro.

What to do with a Plastic Food Container Lid?

If it's round and the right size use it for a lens cover!
