I have a Nikon D3100 and I want to get a macro lens. What would be the best all around macro lens for taking pics of flowers ect.

Hello,
I have recently been investigating this and came across tubes, they are like a filter but attach to the camara and then the lens to it and whala macro lens. Cost is about $10. Thought it would be a cheaper way to start. Found them on Amazon, You tube has some great info on them as well.
Just a thought.
