Trouble with Capture NX2

I have had NX2 for a number of years now and have used it just for the basics. I found on Youtube some tutorials and decided to dive into NX2 a little deeper. All but one of the tutorials I have figured out and am highly impressed of what Capture can do. But the one I am having trouble with is batch processing. When I open the folder palette for all the images on my hard drive all the files are there but when I click on them nothing happens. I can go to the file on the desktop, click on the folder, select an image and open it on NX2 with no problem but I cannot open the whole folder. Help Please

I use it so seldom it gives em a fit also. Try to get Real World's "Nikon CaptureNX" by Ben Long and Mike Hagen's "Nikon Captrue NX 2 After the Shoot". I use those two as well as the Capture NX2 manual that came with the software. As I recall there are two ways to use it:
1. copy the settings made for one image and then apply them to another, one image at a time - uses tool bar commands.
2. Another way is to put the images you want to process in a separate folder and then use the the command menu to apply the settings to all by use of the batch process.

What you are describing sounds like a basic computer file handing problem not an NX batch problem. As I don't use the desktop in the manner you describe I have no idea what to tell you other than to try putting the folder on the disk rather than the desktop.
