Hi All....Here's a few more photos from my last construction site project, taken during the (darn) pandemic shut-down. Took a lot of photos.....but decided to render these in B&W....reflecting the strength and determination of the subject and construction crews. (Yes, I'm guilty of some "sky manipulation", but done to affect the compositions). Hope you enjoy..... My only regret is, due to the pandemic shut-down, I missed the final pour of the top floor :-)

Great industrial photography as usual. Beautiful B&W renderings add a dramatic element. Pity you missed the last pour! Please stay well and keep on sharing your great work.

Excellent work! Everything you want from striking images - composition, lighting, drama and a strong story - just right in B&W. Kudos.

Thanks so much. I enjoyed this work, but the pandemic has slowed my engagements with this subject matter....heck, it's got to be over soon.....!

Ron, not sure you are old enough to remember ChildCraft Books. They were a sort of a very sophisticated set of encyclopedias for children, there were a dozen or so volumes plus two large books with large (maybe 10x16) full page, beautiful B&W images. One was focused on industry and one on art/music as I recall. That’s the first time I saw images of a steel mill or a full symphony orchestra. Your images remind me of them and are of the same excellent quality. Anyone else remember ChildCraft?

Thanks Ourspolair.....yes, I was able to take photographs ground breaking to "almost" completion of the top floor. But, things being as they are.....these (and other) photos attempt to capture the effort, spirit and determination of the construction crews. They finished :-)

Nice set. How high up? Looking at them hanging outward from the structure, how much faith you think they put in those harnesses?

Thanks; These shots were taken on the sixteenth floor. The final building is seventeen stories.....(considered short in Chicago). Previously, this experienced crew had completed a 50 story building.....so I think they know what their doing But, there have been times when I've felt a little
