How beautiful the color of the flower and its textured variations are. Mentally, I rotate 180 so it is reaching to the sky altho in reality, it, if a Christmas Cactus, is hanging down as you have photographed it.

This was it's natural position of the flower when I took the picture. We have others blooming now with blooms in the same general position.

Forgive me but I am getting confused. The OP identified the flower as a Fuchsia and yet two posters have identified it as a Christmas cactus.

As I don't know one flower from another could someone please tell me, is this a Christmas cactus OR is is a Fuchsia as posted by the OP?

I stand corrected! It IS a Christmas Cactus. Thanks for pointing that out.

Jim if you start clicking on, Quote Reply, before answering it will let all of us know exactly who you are answering. Otherwise we have no idea. It helps a lot especially when the thread goes over 1 page as yours is sure to do.

Thanks for the clarification on the plant.

Thanks. I'm beginner at this. It's difficult to figure out. For me it's best to just not reply.

You are welcome. But remember we ALL were beginners at this once upon a time. Someone told me years ago to click on Quote Reply. I and others have also told any number of new members. Otherwise nobody would ever know what to do. Once you do it a few times it is just one more click. I think I can speak for all of us who will say we want you to reply, to get involved in the different forums if you choose. There is much to learn here and also any contributions of photos and knowledge is appreciated by most of the members.

This is a simple matter of clicking on Quote Reply before answering a post. You will then see your post and the person answering your post as you will see when you read this.

Lovely colours and nice composition. I am sure we would all appreciate you clicking on "save original" next time so that we could appreciate the larger image. Please stay well and keep up the good work.

All wrong. This is a Thanksgiving Cactus. Christmas Cactus "leaves" have smooth, scalloped edges. The Thanksgiving Cactus has the point on the leaves. I see the points in your picture. Most people really do not know the difference but Google it. Mighty pretty photo too!

I'm sorry to cause such a ruckus.
