Saw a lot of ducks - some of which I had never seen before! Interesting critters. Camera isn't perfect, but so far OK. None of these were run through Topaz, so what you see is what I got. It's still not metering correctly, as I had to lighten these A LOT! Only one is cropped.
Nice set, Kathy. Even if they are not all ducks.
Very good work, Kathy! Do not turn your back on #2.

He does look fierce, no? Thanks.
Clever captions. I especially like "OK, this is a duck" and the beauty parlor caption. Stay well and keep shooting.

Good set Kathy especially like #4. Love the captions.

Thank you, Sylvia. That's a tiny little stream, but it does make for a nice little scene.
Glad you got your camera back. Can you try using exposure compensation to counter the dark exposures?

I was surprised by the darkness. Some were nearly black. So I think the repair still isn't complete. I'll try again on a different landscape and see what it does. It may be going back again (third time).

I have had similar experience with a different camera. Once after shooting white egrets in the sun and had forgotten to put the exposure compensation back from shooting a stop or more under. Black frames. More recently on a number of occasions I realized the camera was doing that on its own. Just wondering if it could be something like that.

I don't think the camera DID something, rather that it DIDN'T do what it should have. The compensation hadn't been touched and there's no evidence that it was. Part of my first complaint about this camera was that it didn't meter correctly. Apparently that hasn't been fixed. It is different than before, but not correct - at least to my eyes.
Pity you are still having issues with the camera. Clearly it is not stopping you creating some excellent renderings of a bunch of great captures. Please stay well and keep on posting.

LOL Your captions made that a lot of fun, but the pics are really great. What's up with that duck with the hat? Never saw one like that before.
