I am looking for a shutter count app or program for my Sony A6300. I’ve checked online and the ones I’ve found either aren’t working or aren’t for my specific camera. I found one called shuttercount.com, but the website is for sale and isn’t functioning. So does anyone have any suggestions for determining the shutter count on the Sony A6300? Thanks in advance.

Didn't work for me. It says my Canon 60D doesn't supply the needed info. Could it be a setting in the camera prevents imbedding the info in the file? I uploaded a .CR2 file.

You need to upload a JPEG not a .CR2

I believe all these shutter count programs have to have a JPEG to work.

I tried that site. The response was; your camera doesn't supply that information. It is a Nikon D610

Canon does not store the shutter count in the image file. So, it doesn't matter what file type you try.

Either the camera embeds the shutter camera in the EXIF data or it doesn’t. Nikon does and it sounds like Sony and Canon do not. IF (big if) that is true you are going have to find out how to extract the data from the camera itself.
