Sometimes as I view the summited photos here I long for the places that are shone. The mountains and rivers and castles and the ability of the photographers. An then I walk through my small woods in which the fall colors shine through and I say to my self "you are a lucky man. In these photos the first two are a euonymus tree-bush that I could see the red sitting there alone through the trees and I had to see what it was and this is what I found. The next six are what was given to me to enjoy. You might notice the blocks under the bench in number six. That is because age makes sitting lower is uncomfortable.# 9 is out of place because it was taken in the spring and is our cat that thinks it is a dog and followers me everywhere. That brings ue to the last photo and I leaf you here. Thanks.

Great job!
It’s a beautiful collection of portraits of a tried-and-true friend and provides an excellent “ Sense of place” of this site that you so dearly value !
Your sentiment for the place shines through it all.
Thank you for posting this excellent series!

I like the cat and red leaf images most of a pleasant series.
Nice set. The last is real nice. Great narrative also.
Float my boat with the fox. Really nice #1. Wish you had started checking (store original) just a tad sooner.
Great set. I really like the ca and the leaf. Fine colors too.

My relatives-the "Kean" family (Kean, Wright, and Tuckey) grew up in Cooperstown. I spent a lot of my youth in those woodlands.

All super, but I especially love that long shot of the woods with that incredibly blue sky. I have a woods too, but it sure doesn't look so lovely what with the neighbors' and my yard waste piles everywhere....
You are certainly blessed, as we all are f we just take time to realize it!
We had a great Fall, Nice!
I like your "small woods" very much. Iconic scenes and sweeping landscapes have their place, but so do the quieter, more personal places. Your photos are lovely.

Great set. You are right, that first one is outstanding. They all are, but I really like that first one.
