We live a couple of miles from the historic home site and 87 acre estate of Edsel and Eleanor Ford. It's a beautiful place on the shore of Lake St. Claire about 12 miles NE of downtown Detroit. It consists of two parts: the home site and Bird Island separated by Ford's Cove. The island portion is temporarily closed due to construction of a new visitor center near the walk to the island. I recommend Downloading if they strike your interest.
View across across Ford's Cove of Bird Island.

Some of the trees are past their prime in fall color, but I liked the grey tones and subtle color.

Thank you very much, Jojo. I live near by and have done a lot of sailing on the lake. They tore down the old visitor center and are building a huge center and admin building. They're taking over the administration of the Henry Ford house in Dearborn. This will allow them to return the help's quarters in the big house to the original state. If you're in northern Michigan, you're in a good place. Post some photos.

Thank you very much, Joe. My wife and I go there almost every day to walk. Bird Island has a very nice loop trail.

Thank you very much, Jim. We were expecting a freeze, high winds and rain/snow mix, so it was a last chance.
Thank you very much, Ken.
