Besides music, I love cars and photography.
Soooo my new venture is photographing cars. :)
I went out an bought a used Canon 5D / 28-135mm lens / Yongnuo Speedlite UN560 flash and a back pack to put everything in.
I've been a point and shooter guy. . . I had previously bought a Canon G11 for my blog pictures and LR3 for editing. (just for grabbing shots of the rooms and guests dancing.

Well, here are a couple pictures from my first photo shoot.
It's my 2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe.
(only 1266 built.)
Welcome to the site.
I like the contrast of the clean white car against the rust, green, aluminum of the Quonset Hut.
New vs. Old; Racy vs. Practical Nice Job.

Hello may I suggest some shots?
Car photos do not have to have that stock look to them. Explore the lines of the auto from every aspect. Shoot low , shoot high, shoot close ups at different angles Shoot if possible from the roof down towards the hood. You get the idea,as everyone kinda shoots automobiles and trucks in the horizantal format.(alright not everyone, but most people's snap shots are just that snapshops) Great photographs are created from the ground up not just taken!
What I'm trying to establish is that you need to think your shot through before you take it.
I do not suscribe to the spray and pray theroy ! think about what can be done to take a totaly unique image. One that will stand out from the others.
God has given us the ability to reason , therefore think. Why shoot like anyone else ? Make a statement and master your subject matter at the same time. Please follow up with newer posts as I would like to see your progress if you don't mind.
In my oppinion your work needs to be spiced up just a little it's just static !
Keep at it and read other posts on photographing trucks and autos.
Best of Luck!!!
thanks for the advice and greetings.
I follow a great car photographer, Webb Bland.
www.notbland.comI need to learn how to use the camera functions before I can move forward in the process of getting better.
Nice.
