Taken late afternoon at WSNP. #1. This guy was one of the last sledders on the dunes. I liked how his silouetted figure showed the vastness of this beautiful park. #2. The clouds on this day were pretty amazing. The clouds in this image were blurred in post editing using Adobe Photoshop CC.

Beautifully rendered. Excellent capture and (especially #2) great composition. I know a lot of people with backpacks full of gear who could not come close to this quality of imaging. Very well done. Please stay well and keep opening our eyes to your marvelous work. Hope you posted in the Gallery as well!

Good morning, FStop!

I like both of these - to my eye -two very different images of equal but very different impacts and composition and equally unimpeachable technical accomplishment.

#1 , with its pervasive low color temperature, and isolated person on the distant horizon seemingly linking the inorganic Earth and sky strongly links the earth as part of the vast Cosmos beyond.

#2, of a clearly warmer color temperature and the closer isolated subject plant emphasizes the warm, more organically welcoming living Earth existing within, but clearly independent of the cool, vast Cosmos.

Both use their solitary subjects to very different purposes and bearers of very different messages.

I very much love these two images - structurally similar yet emotionally very different - as a strong, philosophical diptych!

OK- so I’m verbose ...all this is just one guy’s take / opinion on this image pair!

It strikes me that I should mention that I woke at ~ 5:00am... checked my phone ... and was instantly lifted from the fog of waking by this pair of images!

Great, inspiring photography!

Dave

I, too, like these photos, for many of the reasons already expressed.

I like those, especially #2. I wonder how it would look in black and white. Very nice composition. The figure in #1 gives a great perspective. Thanks for sharing.
