"I see the bad moon a-rising
I see trouble on the way
I see earthquakes and lightnin'
I see bad times today…"

It seems like they knew what was coming. We had a blue moon last night. It did not look bad to me.

I have always been partial to CCR. A lot of their #2s are still around on the oldies stations while the flash in the pan and one hit wonder #1s have been forgotten. I am listening to "Run Through The Jungle" right now.

Did you know,,,, the verse "there's a bad moon on the rise" was mistaken by most people and heard as "there's a bathroom on the right." Fogerty occasionally sang "bathroom on the right" as having fun with the audience.

I was in Nam Dec 66 to Jan 69 the most popular single song during that period on Armed Forces Radio or in USO shows was "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place".

My son Dan is a recording engineer, and one of his greatest experiences so far was spending an afternoon in Thousand Oaks recording John Fogerty. As gracious as he is talented, he left Dan floating on air. They recorded a brilliant remote duet with Mexican legend Juan Gabriel, which is sadly still awaiting release.
