Come inside----and then enjoy a bit of the overgrown garden that has bloomed quite well on its own. There were so many flowers. Lengthy but hope you enjoy as much as I did shooting.

Very nice! But I don't understand. Looks like a great place to spend time in isolation. If you think that's what's needed during this -sky is falling- "pandemic".

Actually this is a small garden/greenhouse near our public library. It belongs to the University of Georgia extension. I suppose because student activities have been limited in some cases, this is one of the things put aside for now. Someone did a bit of cleaning on the path areas this week. I do go there and it has been a treasure for me. Wish it were mine.

Oh how beautiful, Sandy!! I could spend all day in this garden and greenhouse, and I can certainly see your attraction to it. I agree with Linda..this lovely series does indeed tell a story!!

Thank you Donna. I would love to have the greenhouse in my garden area. Weeds galore through the summer but the flowers just kept doing their thing. Good soil for sure. I will have to post a few earlier shots.

Not sure I understand why a garden would be abandoned because of COVID but okay. I have a greenhouse in my backyard that gives me a lot of simple joy. Two cucumber plants gave my wife and I more than we could eat. We were giving them away. We had more sweet 100 tomatoes than we could eat too but that took a little more work. COVID never deterred me from working in my garden. It's mainly a lonely pursuit, much like photography or writing. It makes me sad to see a neglected garden. Your images are powerful in that way.

Thank you for commenting. This particular garden/greenhouse is part of the University of Georgia Extension Services. Schools have been quite restricted in many ways and I think probably this small garden was just set aside for safety reasons. I am sure in the future it will be as lovely as in the past. The flowers are doing very well as the soil is enriched nicely, the weeds provided mulch and God provided enough rainfall. You had a wonderful and productive garden for sure. Nothing like home grown tomatoes. My home garden did not fare as well as the UGA did as far as variety of wonderful blooms. Wouldn't you know?!

Sandy, you took me along with you on this walk through. I have enjoyed it and in addition to the photos you captured a memory of what we have been going through, Covid19. We all may forget the way we stopped doing our normal activities without photo sets like this one.
