Wow, that's one beautiful automobile and well photographed too. I had a friend who had a '64 Impala, 409cu.in., 409hp, 4-speed, 4.56:1. He only drove it one way and that was hard. Both he and the car survived, but sold it after a year or so. He couldn't afford the gas.

I would like to share my beautiful 1961 super sport impala convertible with you she’s almost 60 years old has factory air conditioning and has every conceivable option they had in 61 except power windows
If you remember back in 1961 the Beach boys sang about my car do you remember 409?
I’m jealous and full of envy .....
I bet when you get down on the throttle you can see the gas needle dropping!

Yeah, me too. I had a 61 2door 283 4bbl dual exhaust. I went to the dealer and bought the front and rest emblems with the flags on it so it looked liked the 348. I do the same thing in cameras. Putting the D850 badge on my Nikon D750. (Not serious).
My biggest regret is selling my brand new 1969 Mach1, red with the gold stripes. I sold it in 74 because it was a pain to get my beautiful 1st daughter in the back seat. My back hurts yet from bending in a certain way from getting her in the child seat and my heart breaks from selling my other baby.
Oh well... the things we do for love.

We used to do the opposite - “downbadge” the car and surprise the unwary looking for an impromptu race.
Thanks for some beautiful memories!! Great picture of a great car.
Sure brings back some memories... I had hard top 59 and 60 4 door chevys... Very nice shots and car

WOW!! Wouldn't it be nice to go for a ride in that? Very nice indeed. Thanks for sharing.

One of the best ever..... Great car and great photos. That's worth around 60 grand today. Thanks for showing it off.

Thank you for your kind words however my particular car because if it’s rarity it’s a super sport has factory air conditioning and it’s a convertible makes it’s worth somewhere in the six-figure range
Here’s an ad from the Barrett Jackson auction‘s for an impala similar to mine doesn’t have air-conditioning and it’s a standard impala not a super sport look what it went for
