Better looking than just about anything on the road today!

I do remember the song and do remember the engine!

Very nice car.

I've always had a soft spot for the Impalas. In high school there were a lot of them from the 60's. Abundant, cheap and easily hot rodded. A good friend restored a '60 convertible with his dad for his first car. Beautiful. The kid next door had a '65. The twins on the next block over had a pair of '64 convertibles.

My first car was a '68. (I was trying to find a '65.) Not the coolest looking but, got it for a great price. And it was almost rust free. That's saying a lot for a MN car. Bought it from a little old lady that only drove it on Sunday. Literally. Didn't have the heart to tell her what my plans were for it. Lol.

Raced and drove the heck out of it for about 5 years. Had a ton of fun in it....in more ways than one.

We’re all looking at your great photos and wishing we still had ours.

It’s really great to drive a car like that

It's still a sweet looking car. No crazy looking tail lights that cars had back then. It looks tight.

Very nice. Great memory trigger. My ten-years older sister had the reverse color white with red trim. Alas, I was only 12. It was the apotheosis of what I would all my life but never got for one reason or another. Riding in that car top down was the coolest thing ever for a 12 year-old in a small town. And then what does she do? Drives it cross country, takes it by boat to Hawaii, works as an RN for a few years and, upon deciding to return east, sells it. Never saw it again. Oddly enough we were both talking about that car two weeks ago.
