I’ve been using Landscape Pro by Anthropics for several years. It has numerous sky choices, and choices for water and other image areas. They have now updated to version 3. Luminar definitely was not the first to provide this feature.

I have Landscape Pro 3, but I find that both Luminar and Photoshop 2021 have advantages vs. LSP.

I have on rare occasions done my own sky replacement from scratch in PaintSop Pro. Easy as pie! . . .

I'd like to know how. I'm a bit of a numbnut with pretty much anything digital but the 'as easy as pie' bit intrigues me. Are there any giude books for PSP?

both programs are good for sky replacement ..... but if you change the sky .... you can't enter the photo in a competition ..... if you do and are caught by the judge .... your photo is disqualified ....

Please note that a sky seen partially through the branches of trees cannot be properly replaced by any software. But where the skyline is pretty solid virtually any program can do the job with a little common sense.
Here we go:

In PaintShop Pro

1) Use the “Magic Wand Tool” and click on the sky area to be replaced.
. . . . . (Make sure to set the tool “Tolerance” to the degree necessary so that the selected area butts tightly against the outline of the area to be preserved. It may require a little trial and error)

2) Set “Eraser Tool” to 100% “Opacity” and 100% “Hardness” and erase the selected area.

3) Click on "Selections" and click on "Select None"

4) Copy the new sky.

5) Click on “Edit” and then on “Paste As New Layer”.

6) Click on “Layers” then click on “Arrange” then click on “Send To Bottom”.

Done!

To fine-tune blow the image all the way up and (if necessary) soften the new skyline ever so lightly.
(PainShop Pro sends out excellent tutorials on a regular basis. It also has a website with all information)

The guy who wants to replace the sky in paint shop, I would advise you upgrade to paintball pro ultimate 2021, it is an excellent program and it will describe exactly how to replace the sky in a photograph. The amount of things this program will do is amazing it also includes A1 it is a remarkable program and you do not have to go into you tube to find out how to do things it is all contained in the program, you will need at 1.6gigabytes of disk space to run it

Having nothing but problems with the ps upgrade. When i want to open an image in bridge it doesn't want to open. i try different methods ie. file open in ps, in bridge click open. If by chance it does open and I go to ps, sky replacement i can't get it to go through the list.
i think i have to call adobe.
