I finally bought a ringlight and it makes a huge difference trying to photograph small bugs. All I could find today were these flys, but I am excited about learning more about macro photography.

Not too shabby!

Your exposure is perfect, and your DoF is excellent. Please consider posting ISO, shutter duration, and aperture in title for each image. This is of interest to both novice and experienced macro-photographers.

And do not hesitate to tightly crop, which accentuates the excellence of your macro-photography.

Amazing set of images, and also the subsequent cropped versions.
Well done!

Coolcameragirl, very nice shots, indeed. Would you be so kind as to tell us what type of ringlight you purchased? In addition, what type of camera/lens are you using?

I have a Canon 5D Mk II, with a Canon 100-mm f/2.8 macro lens, and a Canon Macro Ring Lite MR-14EX. And thanks for your compliment.
