I was here with my Tamron 150-600 lens to photograph birds when I decided to get a shot of this with my Galaxy S8. A friend asked me if I added the sky and the answer is no.

The fluffy white clouds seem almost perfectly exposed (only a couple of little areas that are all white), and you have detail in the shadowed buildings. Very nice!!

That turned very well. I had a similar experience recently when taking photos of some mountains near us. I took a shot wth my iPhone 11 and one with my RX100VII, and even with some editiing, it wasn’t as good as the shot with my iPhone! The first shot is from the iPhone11.

Wow! That’s a superb iPhone image! Did you shoot that in raw?

No, that’s a JPEG! All I did was decrease the exposure a tiny bit.

That turned out beautifully. The google pixel phone's camera is powered with AI and the images are phenomenal. My cousin's daughter has a google pixel phone and on a hike one day I was amazed at the pictures she was getting.

This is from your RX100VII...A slight adjustment In PS.

I don’t have PS, because all I have is an iPad Pro, but I do have PS Express and PS Fix. But your adjustment does make it look a bit better. I couldn’t get the sky to darken without underexposing the mountain sides.

To my understanding cell phones do better than the physics of their sensors because they artificially extrapolate what we want to see. "Real" cameras, meanwhile, are more devoted to the exercise of capturing exactly what is in front of the lens. I wouldn't mind seeing the cell phone approach explore uses in other cameras.

Thanks. I believe the new iPhone 12 pro and Pro Max also have AI.

I certainly like what my iPhone 11 does, and I’m hoping I’ll be able to upgrade to the 12 Pro Max.
