We were awaiting our tee time at the golf course on Saturday and the sun was just rising against the mountains. Daybreak revealed a haze over the Whitewater Wash area along the interstate that wasn’t fog because of the wind. It just had to be the fine white blow-sand that is common along that area. So I took the shot and was pleased to find I was right after processing . The near constant wind coming out of the mountain pass and high desert area is one of the reasons the Wind Turbines are in that location.
Sand can't be good for those turbines!

I imagine it keeps the mechanics busy. Look close and you can see a crane out in the turbine farm.

Beautiful shot!
Thanks Mike. I like to take my camera out on the course as it sometimes gives me some rare captures. This one was taken earlier from Dinah Shore Ave on the way to the Club.
Nice shot--interesting layers.
Lots of blade erosion coming.

I was thinking the VERY same thing.
Nice capture! How did you play? What did you shoot?

My thoughts exactly. I seem to recall my other half telling me years ago that the turbine powered Abrams M1 tank did not fare well in the sand.

Thank you. The layers always seem to catch my eye.

They’re always working out there with crane and lifts. Those blades are HUGE.
