Out on a country road, on a gloomy day, I spotted this rather modern barn standing in the field. I had my Husband pull over so I could get a shot. I zoomed in as it was quite a ways back from the road. Hoping to get back for another shot at a different time of the day. No clouds Looks as if they couldn't reach up to paint the top!!

Great image despite gloomy light. Is it a possibility that the loft was an addition to the original barm?

Everything is cool, but I think you've got too much sky.

Love the way that the rows between the cut corn form gentle, curved leading lines to the building. I might increase contrast and saturation a little, and crop to remove the tree on the left if it were my capture. You caught the mood nicely with the dull overcast, though. Please stay well and keep on sharing.

Nice shot, it’s an attractive barn. After they finish painting I would be back for sure, possibly even in the moonlight.

Yes I plan on going back. Don't know, but I think they just needed a higher ladder! Thank you

Thanks Stan! Don't know, but want to take a ride over and see what it looks like in the spring or a warm snowy day would be cool

Thank you for the comments and ideas. I didn't have time to work with it along the road and didn't have my better camera with. (no excuse) ha! When I get back, I will bring one of the Canons. But this is not a phone shot

That’s a very common barn style around my parts, usually built to house horses. There are stalls on both sides, a drive/walkway/workway through the center, and hay stored in the upper area for easy access for feeding. There are lots of plans for building various sizes of this kind of barn.
