Fires are to the north of us and we have had our first major snow storm. With that the deer are foraging for food and water this am. Plus a few of the Doe have gone into heat, so its a mad house so to speak.
Beautiful photos. Very young deer by their short noses and juvenile faces. I hope they make it through the winter.
My brother in Canon City tells me he has lots of snow now with more falling.

The young ones are just so darned cut
Excellent photos. The weather man says this snow won't stick around long but still being that young they are in for a hard time this winter
Whatever you do, don't lose that first shot of the deer and the bird house. I can see that becoming an iconic seasonal image.

we had about 8" over night. Hope Canon does not have to much, as my friend lives near there.

I do have to agree with you there.

Your correct, but they always seem to make it thru.

Too late. They have about the same as you with more coming down now. Canon is usually mild though and whatever they get could be gone in a week or so with people out golfing, canoeing etc. It is in the sun belt of Colorado.

just read wallengsburg( spelling) has 16"..
Better them than us.
These are great images. Pity about the feeder support in #1 - it would have made a great Christmas card. I guess with a bit of post (excuse the pun) it could be fixed, but lots of work with that placement. Wonderful wildlife images. Please stay safe and well and keep on posting the great work.

Thank you, i think a male came in during the night and pushed on the shepards hook to get at the feeder and it just gave under his weight.
The ground is frozen solid now and not much can be done to right it.
I'll have to wait until the ground thaws to pound it back into the ground.
