I would like to buy a piece of one way mirror for photographing birds. A book I have mentions "Stopsol". That is a large multinational company with many products. The book also says that the material they use has 50% (1 stop) transmission. The product my local glass store sells (Mirropane) has 10% transmission. Can anyone make a suggestion of a product and source? I will try to locate the author of the book, but he is Finnish and communication may be difficult.

I think it's OK to use the one way mirror to look at the birds while hiding in the blind but I wouldn't take pictures thru them. For that a 10% transmission is OK as it makes it harder for the birds to possibly see you.
