My grandson bought a smart phones and I asked him, "Why?" and got the usual 17 year old answers, as usual. Then I picked it up and asked it, "How much is 1 plus 1?" and got no answer. I said to my grandson, "Why do they call it a smart phone"? He was speechless. But my pet peeve with this things comes from me being single. I see a cutie come in the bar alone, sit down, order a drink and then she brings out the phone and is totally in another world ...... #1 turnoff to me.
I agree 100%. I will not have a stupid phone. I have a flip phone that gives me more than I need ie "ring ring hello how are you". More than that is a waste of money.
This is interesting. I expected to get hammered for downing these phones. Every time someone has asked me when I'm getting a phone I always answered the same way. "I'm not that important that I need a phone next to me at all times; if someone wants to talk to me they can call back when I'm home.
