Topaz and the new version of Denoise AI.

I do not know if it has happened to others although I have already seen complaints in the Internet about this new version. The most common one has happened to me, the program crash when I try to open it and mine is a demo to use free for 30 days.

I have emailed Topaz about it but as has happened to others I never had the courtesy of a reply. Now, as it is, I cannot use the program because I will have a crash and that is the end of my editing. A good company with a poor customer service. Yes, that is Topaz Labs.
Same experience anyone else?

I haven’t had any problems but I made sure to build a computer with the hardware to support it.

I use Topaz AI DeNoise and AI Sharpen. As an experiment, I switched back to DeNoise 6 and Hi-Pass sharpening. In almost every case I was more pleased with the switch back.

I have to agree with you. Denoise 6 has been better for me than the new version or the old version of Denoise AI. Hi-pass sharpening is my favorite sharpening modality although AI Sharpen has also been very good.

I have a powerful computer with an excellent video card so I cannot find an explanation for the crash.
Topaz seems to have forgotten about customer support. I am really disappointed.

Topaz has a habit of releasing software before it has been properly vetted. Honestly I am tired of purchasing something from them and have it update for a year then I get a prompt I have to buy the newer version if I want to stay current. I still have some of their older stuff and it is easier to use than studio 2.

I have used Topaz for a long time. Usually before I download or install anything I restart my computer and make sure my system is up to date and is not running any other programs.
Most commonly it is the fault of the computer system and not Topaz Labs.

I have DeNoise and tried Sharpen. In each case I had an issue and contacted Topaz. Within 24 hours I had a response that solved my issue and within another 24 hours a follow up email to ensure that I was satisfied. No, my experience is much different than yours. I found that they have very good customer service.

When I do have problems with Topaz stuff, I have found that the on-line response is much better than phone calls. I go to help@topazlabs.com or support@topazlabs1 (Studio 1 related questions) or support@topazlabs2 (for Studio 2). It sometimes takes a couple of days or so to get a response, but I usually do get one from Jenny

Where has been Jenny in my case? It is precisely emails what I have used, not phone calls.

Try uninstalling the program and reinstalling. Also rebooting the computer. I updated photoshop and found some of the tools were not working, it kept crashing. I closed the program rebooted and it worked well.

Recently, I have found that many companies are not answering emails. It would seem that this would be an easy thing for someone to do at home, but does not seem to be happening. This has happened with both US companies and some over seas, including a few I got by phone. One company who's product I wish to buy has never replied to several emails. Maybe they are all just overwhelmed with emails?

For some unknown reason the COVID quarantine has backed up phone calls and emails responses. With folks working from home you would think that calls should still get answered. But maybe the home distractions are too much.
