looking at pictures , it is a K mount , and it does have a aperture ring .have some pentax k mount lenses .

The Vivitar Series 1 brings back fond memories. I used one on a Canon F1 55 years ago I worked at Disney World with its many photo opportunities. It was great.

Bringing back memories here too. I worked with Bruce Springsteen 45 years ago. Used the Series 1 on my Minolta SRT-101 quite often. Bauer flash unit and battery pack. Shot with Kodachrome. Great lens. Built like a tank. I still have it and use it occasionally when I shoot film.
