the mist coming in with the tide, The background is mine and the ship cane from Pixabay. I used a gradient to make the mist with a mask to get rid of what I did not want..

Many thanks to Jim-pops for helping me to save a picture on my new Mac which is different to windows..

Very pretty image. The ship, however, seems to be very light (mass-wise) as though almost out of the water. Also under way (without rigging, that is odd). Just lowering the ship into the water (close to where the black paint ends) would give a better sense of nautical realism. Picky, but that's just my opinion. Stay well and keep on posting the good work.

The foreground sea and mist should have a suggestion of the colour of the sky because a sky like that would affect the ambient light.

Thank you for your comment Ourspolair, I did have the ship in the middle but then moved it. As the coast is Cornish I was trying for a picture where the ship was anchored off shore and being night was not moving. When we have tall ships in Falmouth for a week many are anchored off shore as they will not all fit in the harbour. Years ago ships would be anchored at sea and the crew rowed to the shore.. I have done a remake with the ship lower and moved to the rocks ..

I have done a remake and put in an orange gradient to give a bit of colour...
