I don't believe what I just read! I've never caught Steelhead any where but Washington state and Alaska. But they are delicious where we catch them! Are yours planted fish? Steelhead are Rainbow Trout that have gone to sea like Salmon and returned to fresh water. I don't know how that would work for the Great Lakes.

Great shots and a nice fish - can you help me? I saw these in the Rouge river a couple of days ago - a group of 5 or 6. They were spawning. I did not have a polarizing filter with me so this was the best I could do. Can you identify the species?? Jpeg SOOC. I would estimate about 3 feet long. Thanks for your help. Location is about 1 km from Lake Ontario, on the boundary of Pickering/Toronto. Colours are accurate. Thanks for your help.
