Not to be political or anything, but the phrase about Indians being “allowed“ to buy land is a sad commentary on our country’s treatment of the native population, who collectively owned the land in the first place.

Thank very much for your comment, Stan. Certainly true they were treated badly, as they were everywhere in the country. In spite of the law, they were being accepted into society up there.
