Altered plans.
I intended to go hike up Mt Peak, a local hill about 10 miles from home, but had a flat tire 4 miles away from the trailhead.
I hiked to Enumclaw to the nearest auto parts store instead, which was close to 4.5 miles away, where I bought a new 4 way lug wrench and adaptor for the splined lug nuts.
I started out on this trail which led to the Green River.

The trail crossed over this canal which provides a route for salmon.

Upon reaching the Green River the trail ends. I had to go cross country to reach the bridge, which is visible near center left.

I choose the path to go by where it was the most clear, sometimes I walked through standing water.

In places I walked on fallen trees. I kept watching for photo subjects.

I skirted around this tree not too far away from the bridge.

This was on another fallen tree which I used to cross over water deeper than I wanted to wade through.

On my way back with the splined adapter and the new 4 way lug wrench I took some photos using the lug wrench as a base for the crystal ball.

I continued along the road until reaching the Buckley cemetery, then passed through the cemetery back to the trail and on to my car. .

The most colorful flowers along the trail.

Nice pictures. That flat was a blessing in disguise? : )
No reason to let a flat tire get in the way of photography. Nice photos.

Thanks so much for looking and reading! You're very right, it was longer, but relatively less taxing on my breathing. Really appreciate your compliment!

Why splined lug nuts?
Thanks for your compliment 😊!
When I hit a pothole a few months ago I had to replace the rim because the original bent and was no longer usable,so I replaced all rims except the spare. Splined lug nuts are what the new rims use, no room for standard lug nuts.

What is a splined lug nut?

It is a specialized lug nut that is almost round with grooves down its length.
A jolly journey of approximately 476 hiked miles and several artistic photos. Well done.
