thank you David and angler. I have been here for 3or 4 years but made my 1st post yesterday. not that i didn't have the photo's, time and arthritis and few other things kept me from it.

it wasn't my first camera, I had a few Minolta's. I bought a Canon Rebel with 6 mg. and headed west. I took several decent pictures but didn't really know how good the viewer wasn't very big so I shot 7 rolls of film too. I had planned on going there this year and upstate New York next then come south thru Vermont.

John I guess should have said it different I used to use Minolta cameras that was about my 10th shot with a digital camera a 6mp Canon

thank you joecicjr, that was my first trip with first digital, took it as a backup to my Minolta after that trip I have bought 4 more canon and 2 sonys for my old minolta lenses
