I've been going thru some of my older Yosemite images recently. This image was taken on an early cold winter morning after several days of stormy and very rainy weather. The storm passed during the night and the valley was beautifully calm, not even a light breeze stirring the leaves. Even the few people that visit the park in the winter hadn't come out yet. The park felt empty except for the birds singing their morning songs out throughout the valley. We came up to an area called Cook's Meadow. This time of year, its a beautiful golden grass meadow. But this day, it was completely flooded. What caught my attention was the flood water was almost glass smooth creating a beautiful mirror-like reflection of the north wall of Yosemite Valley, including the Yosemite Falls. By the end of the morning, the water had drained, the reflections gone and the image only a memory.

Here is my edit on your fine photo. I felt the ice, maybe dirt, in the lower right foreground was a distraction. Worked a little to see what I could do in that area.
Added another waterfall and gave the picture a slightly square format.
Beautiful scene and image. Thanks for letting us have at it.
Nice image to start with. Just brightened it a bit.
A little more focus on the mountain, removing some distractions.
Reworked the water and other slight adjustments.
Tighter crop and more structure in spots.
Here is my take on this shot
Very nice image Mike - here's my view:
