Taken last year on a western trip. This cactus was in front of our hotel. They had it lit up with lights. I used a fill flash to illuminate the flowers at the bottom in front. Due to my inexperience, it took several attempts to get an adequate exposure and flash. And the position of the moving moon was rushing me.

Well done. Striking image. Beautiful coloration foreground and background. Flowers add a touch as both foundation and contrast.

One quibble: Setting the cactus to one side or the other would apply the Rule of Thirds to introduce more dynamism to your fine photograph.

You've also demonstrated how fill flash can produce an exposure otherwise impossible.
