We took the dogs to the Jordan River Trail for their walk Friday. This trail goes along the Jordan River from around Salt Lake City south to Utah Lake (NOT the Great Salt Lake). The trail was created to preserve the river and wet lands as park areas. This trail runs between housing and business developments for almost 30 miles.
We started at the junction of the Draper City and Riverton portions of the trail. I hoped to get some bird photos, so I walked with my 100 - 400 telephoto. As you can see from the attached photos, only a few birds were out (and still enough for my reflexes). The fall scenery, however, was well worth the walk. Included are a couple of my wife's iPhone shots that capture the day.
As usual, downloads work best.

Thanks, Stan. Our dogs are almost 13, so we limit their walks to about 1 and 1/2 hours. About 45 minutes out each way. We do the trail in bits and pieces.

Excellent set Mike.
I appreciate the visit, Jim.
What a nice walk, appreciate being able to go along. Your captions add to the fun (slow birds, lol). So glad you came out from under your bridge; does that mean you're secretly a troll?
Lovely series, Mike. You inclusion of scenery, wildlife, water and anything of interest really makes it a joy to go along.
Nice set of images of a nice walk Mike. Somehow the pictures didn't open up on download, while other pictures I looked at did open. Wonder whether there is something wrong or different in your posting, or whether it is my equipment that has problems with these images. Joe

Thanks for looking, but most people who know me would ask why you added "secretly" (LOL).

Thanks, Carol. Mother Nature provided the itinerary, I was just able to record.

Sorry, Joe, I recently sent some stuff as DNG, but I thought that I restored the settings.
I always like going along on your walks, Mike. No exception today!

And I always appreciate that you come along, Ken. How is the clean up coming?
