Yes, that targeted advertising is very effective in terms of keeping up with the discussion.
The scammers on FB will ask me to ask them to be my "friend". This changes how the liability for the scam changes. They have almost completely vacant FB home pages. They are always from another country. (Want to be it's Alabama???) Apparently there are many people who fall for these scams. I turned on the tv several months back and caught the end of a show where a woman had sent a total of $800,000 to a man she met on FB. She didn't have that much money, but he was so convincing that she got a mortgage on her house to send the money to the man. Sad state of affairs for so many people desperate for companionship.
