The intent of the question was better stated, "if a woman is sexually alalted, especially an underage girl, must she be burdened by having that child at perhaps 12 years of age perhaps by her own father, or can she be aborted and have more normal future life?"
I had an RN friend who was by religion against a******ns until she worked in a county hospital and dealt with children having children some as young as 10 years of age!!
The Catholic Faith is an old one and in the competition for followers, it was an advantage to have their "flock" outbreed the others. Historically, few children survived to adulthood, infant mortality was high. Plagues decimated populations.
To survive, their women were expected to be brood sows, having large families, perhaps as the Judge's seven children. 7! We live in a crowded expensive world and who is going to feed and give medical care to them, and provide excellent education? Because many mothers are, by necessity of economics, required to work, who stays home to take care of seven sequentially sick children? Certainly not the Republican Conservatives. There are consequences beyond taking a 2000 year old mythology as the guiding philosophy.
