That's a tidy mill. The more chrome the better. I'm surprised we haven't seen more Porsches here, which brings to mind how to pronounce Porsche. Stuttgart
pronounces it Por-sha. Two syllables. That's the way I've always said it. But it's surprising how many car knowledgeable folks say Porsh. Oh well, tomato,
tomato... Thanks Valsmere.

Oh I agree with all you say. I say it the same way as well. I wish I could have talked to the owner of that car, the Porsche. It really was a nice clean example of a vintage model, very pretty too. Unfortunately the car show where I nabbed this picture was rather cramped for space.

That's the trouble with car shows. The inconsiderate crowds won't get out of MY way so that I can take MY pictures of MY favorite cars.

Here's a couple of beauties that I saw. If you should ever get the chance you should take a trip to Cuba. Classics around every corner! Most will have aftermarket parts and/or parts from other vehicles. They don't have much to work with so the folks tend to get creative in their repairs. You need an air cleaner housing for your Bel Air but all you can find is one from a Ford F150? Little bit of fab work and you can make it fit. Olds brake shoes on a Pontiac? Why not as long as they're close to fitting.

Your gorgeous Impala brings back fond memories. My Dad owned a duplex and our neighbor bought a new '61 (so, I was 13) convertible. It was white with red/white houndstooth seats. He took me for a few rides. I've always admired that car. Good for you Lone Ranger. I used to look out my bedroom window and drool.

FABULOUS link!! Cowboy Ray is truly inspirational. I enjoyed witnessing the build. The car show was a pleasure to see. Bug-eyed Sprites, Healy 3000s, Lotus',
3 wheeled Morgans, TR-3s, Griffiths, and on and on. That's the car show I was looking for. The British have been responsible for some really great cars. Thank you.

I wholeheartedly agree the British have been responsible for some really great sports cars, but before you go off the deep end, just remember: Lucas Electronics and British Racing Green (or gangrene as I call it, the world's ugliest color)πŸ˜‰πŸ˜’

That's funny, I really like BRG and you're right about Lucas electronics...the most unreliable!

It's all part of the pact we make with the Devil to get our hands on vintage British sports cars.

I loved driving my Mini, but I hated owning it. It made me appreciate every car I've owned since- from a reliability standpoint, but not from smiles per mile when it was running.
