On 10/3/20 we had a wonderful ground fog that was quite thick. Perfect temperature for dew. Spider webs are popping up all over in NW Oregon now and I was ready with camera. A walk through the neighborhood revealed an incredible array of spider webs on an unidentified bush. The spider was quite large and his web massive.
The photos require enlarging to see the amazing dew drops all along the webbing. Awe inspiring Nature. Enjoy ! RJW
Beautiful shots in download.
Beautiful, first time seeing the spider on the web as in #3. Great idea and I'm sure I will try it.
Some very unique perspectives, excellent!
#1 is breathtaking. She must have completed her construction shortly before the dew came, given how pristine the web is.
Orb weavers don't seem to like the dry climate around Yakima. We have more like your last shots - the messy free forms
Wow. These are among the best shots I have seen on the Hog. Number 1 is a show stopper.
Sorry about calling the Spider male. This was a gem of a find (pun intended), thanks to your Majesty the Queen! In my first post I forgot to credit my camera. There are a lot of big guns on the site and this is the little engine that could. Olympus Micro four thirds OM-D EM-10 Mark II with vintage legacy lens Olympus G.Zuiko 50mm 3.5 Macro. Shot hand held and manual focus with use of in camera image stabilization and focus peaking with magnification for precise focus. Processed through Topaz Denoise AI and Topaz Studio 2 first, then finished in Pixelmator. Thanks for all the wonderful comments! RJW
Thank you very much ! I'm pretty new here so really appreciate such glowing comments. RJW
Wonderful subjects, detail and perspective! Thanks for sharing.
These are possibly the finest nature shots I've ever seen.
The dew drops are like strings of pearls.
Great work by you and the spiders! Nice compositions and a good eye. Beautifully rendered images. Stay well and keep up the good work.

Really nice work RJW....that web is one of the prettiest ones I have seen in a while and the dew droplets are a real bonus as well.
