I started out when manual was the only choice we had, now since digital the only auto setting I use is autofocus, "Bad eyes" but full manual for close-ups and macro. I just found it easier to stick with what I knew rather than learn how to make the camera do what I wanted in auto.

Hello Sandy and welcome to the club. Those are beautiful photos that show how lovely the ‘Ocean State’ is. I lived in Narragansett for three years in the early 1980’s while I worked as an electrician helping to build Millstone Unit III in Waterford, CT. I have many fond memories of your beautiful state. I took the attached photo with my Nikon EM with a 50mm F1.8 lens attached on Kodacolor 200ISO film.

Very nice. I love nature all year round in Rhode Island. I am hoping to get a photo of a snowy owl. Last year they had one at Conimicut Point Lighthouse. Fingers crossed 😊
