Actually, I started out with a ready made canvas backpack with wheels and a retractable pull handle that was part of a luggage set that also fit in the overhead luggage compartment of airplanes. I got tired of carrying my standard backpack with camera items and said there has to be a better way. I looked at my wheeled backpack and had an '' aha moment". I located some pick-a-part foam from a larger hard shell case that would fit inside the backpack (I did have to trim the 'overall size" a little bit. I pulled out what foam I did not need for the photo items. I then cut another piece of foam from some leftover mattress topper ( I also need to trim in to fit inside the backpack on top of the camera equipment) and i placed it in the backpack so it rested against my back when i used it as a backpack. Perhaps not the perfect answer, but it works for travel and I don't need to carry everything. Hopes this may solve your difficulties.

Hello
I have the Gura Gear Kiboko 2.0 16L Backpack. I put my Tamron 150-600 attached to my Canon 7D markII on one side and another camera body and three lenses on the other. It has many storage pouches everywhere. It is the most comfortable camera backpack that I have hiked with!
