There was post earlier in week re adapters
My question is are there any adapters that allow full function of a Nikon F zoom (18-200) with shake reduction functionality to mate with Sony 6400 that maintain full function, focus, aperture settings etc on both devices?
I suspect not but perhaps other folks have found a solution.
Thanks
I have a metabones adapter for other lenses to other camaras. Their equipment is top notch and I like the dovetail mount on the adapter for an arca-swiss clamp. Google "Metabones Nikon F Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera T Adapter" to find options around $99. Take away "metabones" to find other brand options.
Read the various comments and any Q&A. Keep in mind three independent companies are involved: the camera, the lens, and the adaptor. The higher priced versions will tend to look, feel and perform better. The $99 Metabones above connects the Nikon lens, but only as a manual focus lens. If you have newer Nikon G lenses, look for an adapter that has an aperture ring on the adapter so you can control the aperture size as G lenses do not have this control on the lens.
A product that controls the electronic aperture and autofocus is more expensive, such as the "Fotodiox FUSION Smart AF Adapter Mark II for Nikon G-Mount AF-I/AF-S Lens to Sony E-Mount" at $280. At that price, you might consider if you should just be buying Sony lenses.

Vello and Commlite make such adapters, but the have very poor reputations. You might be lucky and one will work for you, but many fail repeatedly and end up being a, waste of $400. Canon lenses have Metabones adapters, which are excellent. Unfortunately nothing of that quality exists for Nikon optics.
Thanks.
Sound like the Sony lens is the way to go on a Sony camera
Also need to be carefull about model of cameras. I have a lens which was made for Canon 60-70D, but does not register as even being present on Canon R even with the Canon adapter. Camera would not even operate until told to ignore whether a lens registered as being present.
