No, this is NOT a sad post :)
The last time my mother-in-law was over I caught some really nice, soft natural lighting in our sunroom while she and my boy sat on the couch together. Needless to say, I pulled out my Nikon and started clicking. Of the 80some that came out of the shoot these are the core 21 that I like the most.

Good lighting and composition. The only thing I would do would be delete what ever that is on the right side of the photo, to me that is very distracting. Everything else is excellent
Thanks for the thoughts folks. It's my wife's bar-cart in the background, and unfortunately didn't really pay any attention to it until afterward. Crops with it taken out look a bit off due to proportions, but I'll revisit them before printing.
